The Diploma in Social Work and Community Development program at Kenyaplex Institute of Technology is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become effective social workers and community development practitioners. This program provides students with a broad understanding of social issues affecting communities and how to address them through community development initiatives.

Students will learn the principles of community development and the strategies used to mobilize communities for development. They will also gain knowledge on social work ethics, human behavior, and counseling techniques, which are essential in supporting individuals, families, and groups facing social challenges.

The course covers a range of topics, including community needs assessment, project planning and management, social policy, advocacy, and human rights. Students will also learn how to engage with different stakeholders and work collaboratively with communities, governments, and non-governmental organizations.
